#Research to #OpenOurBeach, Part III--Are there Any Legal Reasons We Couldn't #OpenOurBeach
The County Attorney sent out the following email to all commissioners today. It is legal to #OpenOurBeach

Commissioner, both Mr. Underhill and his wife have said on social media that the county would get sued right away if plans for this project proceed. Is that true? Are there lawyers waiting in the wings to sue the county over this?
ReplyDeleteSome are also saying that if a suit is filed against the county that will put the PKMP on hold. Is that a factual statement?
Anonymous 1143--not sure but that will be discussed this Thursday. Our attorney didn't mention this in her paper, and neither has our environmental department. But we will ask. Incidentally--everything we do puts us at risk of being sued. At any given time we are defending multiple lawsuits. Unfortunately, they happen...
