Coffee with a Commissioner this Coming Wednesday, June 26th-Town Hall July 15th
I'll be having my 24th "Coffee with the Commissioner" event this coming Wednesday morning, June 26th from 6:30-7:30 at the Hardees at Wilde Lake and Pine Forest Road.
These meetings are very informal and allow citizens to interact with me directly, with staff members present to take concerns and address issues.
And in three weeks I'll be holding a town hall meeting in Beulah to discuss an upcoming climate survey that will be coming in the mail to residents of Beulah and the northwest portion of District 1.
This town hall will be at 6:00 PM at Beulah Middle School on 9-Mile Road at Beulah Road.
We will be giving an update on multiple topics of interest at the town hall, but the main topic will be rapid growth and finding the best, most intelligent way to manage this growth in this part of the county.
We will also be talking about OLF 8 and the work to master plan that land for the benefit of the community.
I encourage ALL interested citizens to attend one or both of these upcoming meeting so that you can give me your ideas thoughts on how the county can serve you better!

In trying to piece together several of the discussions today, it seems Weaver and Lavoy may deserve a pubic apology.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of staff, current and former, probably deserve apologies for the way they are treated. When deciders are indecisive---what does one expect from staff?
ReplyDeletePerhaps the training can be done in house or EMS can intern in the ER to learn to intubate, I think it may be alright to hold off. This seems to have been blown out of proportion. All of the public doesn't buy into the media and spin and hype.
ReplyDeleteAmbulances are transport and people can't expect to have mobile doctors on speed dial, then not even pay for it.
On another note will the 1.5M DeSantis cut on ST affect our efforts much. I hope not.
Would you publish a blog with the current Public Protection Classification Summary Report Underhill referred to is a 27-page document created in January 2019. According to the report, when it comes to water supply and flow testing Escambia County ranked 2.08 points out of a possible seven.
ReplyDeleteI see you posted the one from 2012 on your article that the ISO rating has improved since 2012 and that one is linked there.
Thank you for your informative blogs with the links included, as well as live streaming the coffee with commissioner. I have learned quite and bit and refer back to them.
Truthfully, I noted a lower score on the ISO rating is actually better but before assuming too much I looked into that report deeper and the realized the water supply and flows are a separate rating, however I still couldn't make sense of the sentence "2.08 out of 7" reported on WEAR about the Fire Rumors in Perdido and the fact a fire boat was not purchased by the county.
I know hind sight 20/20 can be seen as political but often issues that spring up do cause an attention to details that were perhaps overlooked or not known before to surface.
As far as the civility so called editorial on PNJ today, you are not in the same class as Underhill, he wins the uncivil trophy, you aren't even a close second.
ReplyDeleteSo he can run to PNJ and hold up that Trophy.
And for the disingenuous fan club, Underhill started it, the owner let it go on and supported it then now is playing dumb.
Before they released the WEAR piece they had to clear the room of out spoken people (Banned and muted them)
Yes we see you.
We like your ideas about the budget. No to MSBU for fire protection.
ReplyDeleteAt the county meeting:
ReplyDeleteThe outside agencies look like a farce for the most part. Looks like the chairman asked you to hold comments about the one up first then, then you all didn't hold comments after that.
Cover for the guy?
Manners--are worth something.
