Vegetative Debris Drop off Sites Identified for Residents

The County has opened up multiple locations (Indicated above) for citizens to drop off vegetative debris from Hurricane Sally.

  1. Thank you Commissioner Bergosh for helping getting this information out.

Does this mean that the County will not be assisting residents with their vegetative debris? It's my understanding that post Ivan curbside was a given. Piles were picked up by contractors, both vegetative as well as storm debris. Residents of Navy Point, which was devastated in Ivan, have talked about the removal happening in a methodical fashion.

There are many people posting on social media asking about this. On our drive from Warrington to Brownsville during the Lewis Bear Co water distribution on Friday, Kevin and I were floored to see block after block of yards and trees completely destroyed from the down-drafts.

If people are having unrealistic expectations that they will receive assistance with transporting things from their property, there needs to be a clear statement from Janice Gilley and her team that this is how they plan on handling it.
