    Vaccines/Boosters Antivirals

And a new one. OTC antihistamine and milk. Zzquill and warm milk? Sounds good in addition to being boosted, masks and same diligence with hygiene..
    5 x more tranmissable.

    Mutations at co receptors

    Good article with links.

Push the vaccines. They may tweak them to match the variants in the near future.

  2. Officials "discussing ALL COVID-19 Treatments"... what a complete farce!

Because many safe effective and cheap remedies for Covid, including vitamin C and D, have been heavily censored that a perceptive 10 year old can see, and could see from the start, that Covid-19 has nothing to do with real science (ie, it's a scam).

Here is WHY even most so-called intelligent people still CANNOT figure that out... read “The 2 Married Pink Elephants In The Historical Room –The Holocaustal Covid-19 Coronavirus Madness: A Sociological Perspective & Historical Assessment Of The Covid “Phenomenon”” at w w w d o t CovidTruthBeKnown d o t c o m

"The inhumane abominations, issued by the highly credentialed professional class of psychopaths-in-control and their lauded sycophantic minions, of “No Jews Allowed” and “No Colored People Allowed” of yesterday is the “No Unvaccinated People Allowed” of today." (from cited article)

If your employer (even educational or federal employers) wants you to take a Covid vaccine give him/her one of these form letters of exemption found at w w w d o t lc d o t o r g/exempt

  4. A bit off topic but it is related to health care and violence and employees.
In regard to your comments on WEAR today.

No employee should be subjected to violence without consequence to the perpetrator and support from their employer.

Although my voice may not be part of the usual crowd that takes the side of the apparent "victim" (it's all relative) I admire you standing up for jail staff and also especially urging the public to not rush to conclusions and wait for the facts.. Which of course, most people who comment on facebook won't wait nor read more than the headline. It is a fact most people type contrary remarks.

For instance your dirtbag counterpart commissioner and his press secretary immediately take to tearing down the county government. They should stop. They won't, it is the way of the injured personality disordered individuals who doesn't get their way. Expect more.

Hospitals have a policy supporting their staff from violence. The jail employees should also be supported. They have to deal with it day in and day out and as a Commissioner supporting staff is appropriate and also waiting for all the facts to come out to pass judgement is mature and thoughtful.

Wait for the coroner's report because we do not know cause of death.

Some people won't read the article and will just use anything as an excuse to play politics. One can tell the difference between politics and government.

This may be a good time to look into Simmons taking the jail and we do appreciate you keeping a close eye on the budget.

Speaking out while this is going on, is risky especially because most people who comment aren't mindful of the big picture and the "emotion" aw.. kicks in and we live in a litigious society. It's a career for some. How's the false claim's case coming along?

If I was at work I would not want to put up with being kicked nor spat upon, I don't care the excuse.

She did stay in the hospital one week.

I don't know if there are proper mental institutions or lock up facility and she was 20 years old. I'm sure it is beyond difficult to be a parent of a violent adult child.

    As far as COVID.

I think you should put the dashboard back up and realize Omicron will probably be here in a few days -- especially take steps before Christmas.

Our vaccination rate is still too low.

Thank you for your transparency and willingness to lead.

  5. I find it quite interesting that the mere discussion of any alternate treatments brings out an element that immediately discredit and ridicule any such discussion. Then the ad hominems fly. It reminds me of when the media was desperately trying to sell the fiction that a bat flew 500 miles from its home range area to the "wet Market" in Wuhan--and mysteriously infected a wolf- cub that was sold as meat to a human, who ate the wolf pup and pangolin---and "Bang" That's how COVID happened, Damnit! And those of us who said BS to that garbage and instead believed it was a mishap at the Wuhan Biohazard compound--we were looked at as "moon landing" hoaxers or 9-11 deniers. But wait, here we are a little more than two years removed from the emergence of this, and everyone with a brain now knows the wet market explanation was completely fabricated to "not" offend the CCP and to mollify the WHO. and the same geniuses that ridiculed the notion of the Wuhan Lab being responsible for this thing leaking out have quietly exited the discussion and have moved on....They're now the ones ridiculing Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine and anything short of full acceptance of the CDC's positions. Things that make you go HMMMMMMMMMMM........

  6. Yes Black and White All or Nothing Thinking on this is perplexing. I'm not a communist just a regular person in my mind yet the anti vaxxers really do irritate me but I do try to stay open minded.

Some of them attack an alternate opinion of the one they have formed also.

Personally I've mulled over it a lot and for you to have the panel of MD's on, perhaps with different points of view, is great.

    more comments here.^^^

Vaccine hesitancy is a real problem
Trust in the government also contributes to that
Internet spreading negative false info is a problem also

True about initial response to try to blame/cover up the origins.

So is it an escaped engineered virus, that they were studying gain of function in a BSL 4 lab? I thought so from the beginning. However once let loose, we didn't need an international incidence nor war.

As far as to the politics and response.. whew.

I try to read science papers and data.

Still odd to me the first Dr. says she is John Hopkins trained yet doesn't trust their guidelines.

I read an article about that Puerto Rico had a better vaccine rollout because NGO headed the response and already had the trust of the people, mostly because they were still in recovery from Dorian. People didn't have time to fight all day on the internet and foment hard headed opinions.

I know this is CNN but just surfing all over gives different viewpoints

I think the CDC guidelines are appropriate but it doesn't hurt to be open minded in addition.

Close minded individuals that want to essentially wipe out and destroy anyone with an opinion that differs from their own is a negative reflection on them. They may need to just walk away or find a way to share their ideas more appropriately so people will listen. It is easy to go adhominem and name call though, especially with this.

  8. Corrections, after watching video, it was hurricanes Maria and Irma and the PR Mayor does talk a little politics, however it was factual.

    Leaders should lead by example.

Why don't you all wear masks and social distance, is it because you all have the vaccine?

DeSantis isn't following the doctors scientists' lead. The CDC guidelines should be followed. Public health laws have already been tested.I can understand opening schools and business but he should encourage the vaccine.

So while on one hand, people may support the GOP, they aren't putting out a science based approach response to COVID. In fact they said something like:

"We don't want the stinking vax." Instead of learning about it and conveying good info.

  9. Breaking 12/7

    whoop.. there it is..

"The first case of the omicron variant of the novel coronavirus, the virus that causes COVID-19, has been reported in Florida, according to the state's Department of Health.

Health Department spokeswoman Weesam Khoury Tuesday said the agency "has conducted genomic sequencing and maintains surveillance of emerging variants in Florida."

"As a result of these continuous and diligent efforts, the Department quickly identified a presumptive case of the Omicron variant in Florida," she said.

"Our teams conducted contact tracing to identify possible exposures and advise on necessary isolation and quarantine protocols."

  10. "A spokesperson for the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa confirmed to CBS12 News a patient tested positive for the variant. The patient returned from international travel recently, and has mild symptoms.

The hospital added, "The best tool we have to ensure the public's continued health is COVID-19 vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters."

    What is Escambia vac rate?

    Low 50%

Why is the Governor fighting common sense science based public health measures? Does he think we are impressed with that?

  12. It deeply saddens and frustrates me that you gave these charlatans a platform, Commissioner Bergosh.

I've mostly become numb to four of our commissioners either tacitly or openly neglecting to recognize the basic realities of this virus, which has killed so many people in our community, not to mention County staff who were captive targets of the County's negligence in protecting them. But showcasing these loons was really a disservice to the community at a time that covid is upticking again.

Thankfully WEAR got the coverage right, and exposed their careless disregard for science at the service of their own homicidal narcissism and showboating. I'm glad to hear the female quack isn't working at Baptist any more. And the television exposure gave the community a needed red flag against their conspiracy drivel.

Let the anti vaxxers run to them to pour money in their coffers. While cancer patients have now been put on the alert to vet their radiologists carefully.

  13. Sorry, not Baptist. Sacred Heart. And reading more carefully, it's unclear whether she ever worked there--is that correct?
