Applying the Success of Lake Nona Master Plan to Beulah OLF8 Hybrid Plan
ReplyDeleteDear Mr. Bergosh,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to discuss the Beulah OLF8 Hybrid Plan and the importance of considering the success of the Lake Nona Master Plan as a guiding model. In doing so, I would like to highlight the reasons why it is crucial to not select DR Horton for the master plan, citing concerns regarding low-quality construction and non-adherence to the master plan's principles.
The Lake Nona Master Plan has garnered acclaim for its exceptional execution and adherence to New Urbanism principles. It stands as a testament to the positive outcomes that can be achieved through careful planning, collaboration, and a commitment to high-quality construction. Moreover, the implementation of the Lake Nona Master Plan has resulted in the creation of a significant number of jobs within the community.
The Lake Nona development has created a diverse range of employment opportunities across various sectors. The establishment of Lake Nona Medical City, in particular, has been a catalyst for job growth in the healthcare, research, and technology fields. This state-of-the-art medical and life sciences cluster has attracted numerous high-paying jobs, research institutions, and medical facilities, stimulating economic development in the region.
By embracing the principles that have made the Lake Nona Master Plan successful—such as walkability, connectivity, mixed-use development, sustainable design, and a focus on innovation—we can not only create a vibrant and sustainable community but also generate a significant number of jobs for Beulah.
On the other hand, selecting DR Horton for the master plan may result in missed opportunities for job creation and economic growth. The concerns raised about the quality and durability of DR Horton-built houses are significant factors that could hinder the overall success of the community. Substandard construction not only affects the residents but can also have a detrimental impact on property values and the perception of the neighborhood by potential employers and investors.
Therefore, it is crucial for the success of the Beulah OLF8 Hybrid Plan that we choose a developer who shares our vision, has a proven track record of adhering to master plans, delivers high-quality construction, and has the ability to create jobs within the community. By making an informed decision and selecting a developer committed to the principles of New Urbanism and economic development, we can ensure that Beulah becomes a thriving community with ample employment opportunities for its residents.
I implore you, Mr. Bergosh, as a respected and influential leader, to carefully consider the lessons learned from the Lake Nona success story and advocate for the selection of a developer for the Beulah OLF8 Hybrid Plan who demonstrates a strong commitment to the principles of New Urbanism, the ability to deliver superior construction quality, and a proven track record of creating jobs within the communities they develop. By making a thoughtful choice, we can create a community that will not only enhance the quality of life for residents but also contribute to the economic prosperity of Beulah.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Emilio
