I'll be on "Real News with Rick Outzen" Tomorrow Morning at 7:10

I've been invited to appear on "Real News with Rick Outzen"--the area's most listened-to, most informative morning news show in Pensacola--- tomorrow morning at 7:10

I've been invited to appear tomorrow on the area's #1 rated, most highly respected and trusted morning drive news program, "Real News with Rick Outzen" on 1370 WCOA.

We will be discussing the homeless count issue and other takeaways from the BCC's Thursday meeting last week.

We will more than likely also discuss the tomorrow evening's budget hearing--plus any other interesting topics that arise.

Listen live at 7:10 or catch the podcast.  Once Rick releases it, I will post it here.

Please talk about the “competency” board which is another failure of the BOCC “leadership “

See you are discussing buying fire trucks. Another reactionary vote vs something planned long term with normal replacement cycles. You guys should have a law firm called Dewey, cheatum, and howell! What a joke! 2024!!

WEAR just ran a story, Unmarried woman with one year old, and also now 3 month old, one dog and five cats. Sorry, that's mental illness. When will the cats have more cats. People make bad choices. Homeless since December so the second child was brought to a tent. These should get sterilized and not continue to procreate offspring they can't care for.

One should have a stable career, marry, be stable, maybe debt free and then .. maybe then, have a child and/or a pet.

Tough life.

Burdens on society.

You are already hosting free pet adoptions.

Too much enabling is making for a weak society.

You know staff does the procurement process and puts it on the agenda? Right?

Any procurement process should be part of a long term plan including proper uses of LOST funds. Staff should just be following the plan Of course we don’t have one which leads people like you to make less than accurate statements and call people names. Great job

11:39 PM, I agree that choosing that number of animals over housing for your children might indicate some degree of mental instability.

Whether that is indeed the case with this particular family or no, the fact remains that

UNTIL THIS COUNTY HAS ANY FUNCTIONING NETWORK FOR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES THE NUMBER OF MENTALLY ILL HOMELESS WILL CONTINUE TO GROW.

Setting up a nontransparent mental health task force has so far had zero material results. When will the collapse of our mental health services (such that it was) stabilize and reverse?

You can't have it both ways: do you want mental health services funded and capable? Or just a Lord of the Flies only the strong survive reality?

Because that ridiculous extreme *also* burdens the taxpayers with the cost of mental illness running unchecked, and all of the results (medical system, justice system, child services system, the list goes on and on) of that needless, costly, and inhumane scenario.

As for your hard-line opinion about enforced sterilization, and that nobody should have kids until they can obtain their third job to put food on the table for them and a roof over their head, I'm assuming that you are against the republican party's obsession with taking away reproductive rights and rendering birth control illegal?

(Queue the cognitive dissonance.)

All this drama with non profits and homeless .. Maybe just build projects instead.

The Supreme Court decided abortion wasn't a right given in the constitution but put it to the states. One can get an abortion in FL. All the squaking is just bullshit.

And people should be taught the realities of having babies, and really should not have them out of wedlock and if they aren't ready for them. It is stupid.

No .. I'm all for abortion, birth control, death penalty.

It seems to put medical people in a delimmais someone is too stupid to fail to get one in the first trimester, if they were too stupid to not get pregnant to begin with.

Yes and people are responsible for their own choices and sometimes they make stupid irrational choices and it's their problem, Not everybody elses'

Keeping 5 cats and dog and and a 3 month old and a one year old unmarried and crying to the news is disgusting. They don't want help, or a hand up they want to be rescued.

They effed up.

And furthermore, if those misguided Women Against Matt Gaetz 🙄 selling pink t shirts and billboards for attention and wasted $$$ for no reason were really concerned with wanting reproductive rights to be expanded, the place to do that would be with the FL State Legislature. Not facebook, not federal congress.
Not the SCOTUS.
Weather

But they must not really care about that. They're just hanging out bitching anyway.

Abortions should not be done much past the first trimester anyway. There is no excuse to prolong that procedure past that time frame.
It is legal in Florida.

I know this post wasn't about abortion.

It was a podcast to spend the federal money in the county budget.

COW in October.

I also think you, BCC not buying the xtra fire lift is fine. If the beach wants one let SRIA or TDT buy it.

Dobb vs Jackson

Let the cognitive dissonance begin.

You can't argue with stupid or reason with crazy.
