MASSIVE Public Records Request Made of Several Commissioners

Friday afternoons are made for document dumps.  Yes, especially long holiday weekends.

Put out information that is not flattering at 4:59PM on the Friday before the long three day weekend.

That happens.

The new phenomenon?  Make MASSIVE records requests of public officials the Friday before the long weekend.

Looks like we have had two separate requests from two separate individuals for two unrelated matters blow up over the weekend.

Luckily for me--I didn't get this one until this evening.  My weekend was amazing--no knowledge of this one till today.  And really, nothing to see here, no smoking gun, no there there.  Just lawyers doing what they do.  Ho hum.

I'm sure this one is simply residual hurt feelings over my post on the outrageous claims made about mistreatment of corpses locally by funeral directors....

The other one I knew was coming.....it will be an easy one, too.....

But WOW!  Take a look at this pariticluar request, below.

This one may take a minute.

And are some of these requested items even public records in the first place??  This one will be expensive and time consuming, I'm going to guess.

The new thing replacing Friday afternoon "Document Dumps":  "Friday Fishing Expeditions."

Ridiculous.

That seems outrageously excessive. Society has taken a wrong turn.

It’s surprising that anyone would be willing to work in the public sector.

And I’m absolutely thunderstruck that anyone would be willing to serve as the Escambia County School District Superintendent. A seven nation army could not compel me to take that career path.

expensive and time consuming is what this will be to complete. staff-time intensive and for what purpose? Because we received outrageous complaints about alleged mistreatment of corpses which, as it turns out, wasn't true and at least one of the funeral directors that put these outrageous comments to paper now "regrets" doing it and all but recanted? And meanwhile the parties have talked through the issues and worked for resolution so that should be the end of it, right? Uh, no. Now come the lawyers with this ridiculous fishing hunt. Why is Dr. Oleske pushing this? Does she think this will engender good will between her office and ours? I think I am going to give her a call today, this will require a "discussion" but meanwhile, WOW!

Sounds likes each county should go,to elected coroner.
Looks like power hunger DOMES, a non profit also headed be D1MEO thinks her shyte don't stink.

Are the taxpayers paying these attorneys? For this? For what?

Looks like Escambia is being manipulated to get the D1MEO office moved to Santa Rosa.

Didn't it come out the past D1MEO was getting compensated about a million dollars a year?

Really yes, what is wrong with each county electing a coroner and extricate themselves from this apparent political retaliation hit job.

What is it with these doctors taking a public position and getting their panties in a wad if their name comes up in the news.
