People have asked me.."Why do a committee for the Northwest portion of your district---why is this necessary?"
LOOK AT THE MAP BELOW
The map below, showing the explosive growth this area has experienced from 2010 to present is a huge part of the reason. We are already behind the curve and playing catch up. I can't wait to work with this new committee, established by a 4-1 vote of the Board of County Commissioners, to find creative ideas to adapt to this growth for the betterment of every citizen that not only lives here --but also the ones that travel in this area on a regular basis.....
Guidelines
I have established this blog as a means of transparency to the public, outreach to the community, and information dissemination to all who choose to look. Feedback is welcome, but because public participation is equally encouraged, appropriate language and decorum is mandatory.

I imagine it will be wonderful to have a committee that works with you. Put up or shut up. There is much to be done, what an opportunity for citizens in the area to make a difference. Working together and collaboration will get the job done.
I am not addressing whether a citizens committee makes sense or not but whoever is tasked with the effort should make sure all facts and future plans are presented. The map does not reflect the Woodlands Parkway or the 10,000 plus lots on the northern part of that area. We need a plan that addresses the whole area and just part of it. Steven Barry should be just as concerned as Jeff Bergosh is.
