Sorry that CEO is wrong. Rick Outzen has penned the last few days as the "Underhill curse" after the last few days of data and his stupid email sent from his chimpanzees campaign site.

Opening the tourism industry is a mistake.

Open some medical procedures.

There is no one from Escambia and Santa Rosa on the task force to open.

I know you all have lots of info to think about. In my opinion Ricks blog is a must read now.

Finally sanity.

As they say, there is minimal or no risk of overwhelming the medical system. In fact we have severely wounded the medical system by irrational shutdowns.

I’ve looked at the letters and they do not say what you have stated. Shame on you. Do you think we are stupid cannot read these letters? Sir, I live in your district and you will not be getting my vote. You are very sad.

The local CEOs letter is in agreement to reopening the beaches. The letter does NOT say they support opening beaches with restrictions. The letter says they support easing restrictions WHICH INCLUDES OPENING BEACHES. It looks as though words are being switched for a personal agenda. We need these beaches and businesses reopened. No-one is going to stay in their home for another 18 months while we SEE if we can find a vaccine. Think of the aftermath if you do not open soon. Depression, suicide, violence, criminal activity, theft, and mental disabilities will all soar . People who you may have known your entire life will lose their family business. Those people will be at a loss for resources and become people you've never known. The court system will be overun with lawsuits and who knows what else. We have over three hundred million people in the U.S. population so the death toll is very low. We need to build up immunity to this. Those who want to continue to quarantine can do so but most of us have no income without things going back to a somewhat normal. Quarantine has always been for the sick this is tyranny. There's going to be people going to the beaches with or without permission. Please reopen the beaches with no restrictions so they can go legally and families can enjoy one of the things that makes Florida great!

Anonymous and NT: From Page 2 of the Letter signed by all three local hospital CEOs....... "after careful review of the modeling forecasts that give us a glimpse into our future and the data that is evidence of what we are experiencing today, we jointly support the gradual easing of some restrictins, including the opening of the beaches, with the following recommended supports to continue, to minimize the spread of COVID=19 in our community...Assurance that gatherings of less than 10 people, and maintenance of six feet between persons....." I'm not sure what letter you were reading, but the one I posted on this blog entry CLEARLY indicates they said they supported gradual opening with stiplulations (i.e. no large gatherings and six foot separation) as a caveat to the beach reopening. It's crystal clear.
