I am one member of a five person board. The opinions I express on this forum are mine only, and do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of the Escambia County Staff, Administrators, Employees, or anyone else associated with Escambia County Florida. I am interested in establishing this blog as a means of additional transparency to the public, outreach to the community, and information dissemination to all who choose to look. Feedback is welcome, but because public participation is equally encouraged, appropriate language and decorum is mandatory. Although this is not my campaign site for re-election--sometimes campaign related information will be discussed, therefore in an abundance of caution I add the following :

44th Coffee With the Commissioner this Wednesday Morning
Our 44th Coffee with the Commissioner event will take place online this Wednesday, June 10th from 6:30-7:30 AM. This online chat will focus on economic development and our local efforts at attracting new businesses to our area. Our guests will be County Administrator Janice Gilley and Florida West Economic Development Alliance Executive Director Scott Luth.
We will discuss: ST Engineering, The Bluffs, OLF 8, Co-Lab small business incubator, our commerce parks, and the continued expansion of Navy Federal Credit Union

There are some leftist fascists in town collecting screen shots of individuals exercising their opinion on free speech, often on their own f/b page and people are collecting screen shots and defaming them and trying to coerce employers to fire them and seem to be successfully doing it. They seem to think racism means you don't agree with the Black Identity and if one doesn't agree they are poor victims then you are a racist. It's like they have a hole in their head. It feels like a big con job.
You would think once sued twice shy. Guess not.
I hope the ones being online mobbed and bullied get a attorney and sue the hell out of the fascist free speech police, social justice warriors. For people expressing an opinion they disagree with and then providing an internet shame mob. That's not what the USA is about.
I feel for the county administrator, board members and police and especially the Governor and POTUS. to undergo this continual criticism, it is must make life difficult.
Peopke are nasty and I've suddenly realized how indoctrinated and bent some are.
I know you will meet and try to smooth things over at the Graffiti bridge but some of us feel like they have it hostage and need to move on.
We feel we have been played and conned and the country is under attack and actually think the defund the police idea is ridiculous.
The more they demand and act like uncivil people the worse most want to not listen.
In the past 10 years I think the civil rights movement folks have set themselves back decades.
Don't like the race card, nor the white guilt.
and that's not racism nor slander.
PNJ is advancing it I hope they get sued and I usually don't like lawsuits but we are under attack by, one, mob rule and two fascism from the left.
I doubt you'll talk about this at the coffee.
Seems politicians are being weak and bending over, we'll see how you all handle it.
even that old reverand doesn't impress some of us. Some of them milk the taxpayers and hide under that reverand mantle and use rhetoric and emotic and non profits. It seems playing the victim is a lucrative opportunity.
I think they should act more like Chappie James as a role model. Not impressed by this entire other ordeal from the get go.
