On 1370 WCOA This Morning

I'll be on AM 1370 WCOA this morning at 6:50 AM discussing multiple topics to include the naming of the replacement bridge over Pensacola Bay.

Should be an interesting interview.

Once I get it, I will publish the interview here.

Commissioner, you and your four counterparts do excellent work for Escambia County! I believe: that which benefits you, benefits Escambia, and vice versa. As an advocate of Escambia County, I would like to offer you some important advice - advice of which you are likely already aware - but I feel it is worth my effort all the same.

I read your interactions with a commenter regarding Beall and his history. The commenter mentioned that Beall’s actions, which might be misinterpreted as racist, were actually politically motivated due in part to Jim Crow laws, etc..

I would counsel you to give a wide berth to ANY racial aspect regarding the naming of the new bridge. That discussion is highly nuanced and ripe for your political adversaries to distort your words and intentions. Some of our populace, while of strong character, might lack the sophistication to discern this nuanced argument.
