I'll be on the area's best morning drive news program, Real News with Rick Outzen, tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM.

Once again I have been asked to be the leadoff guest on the area's best, most listened to, most influential, and most trusted morning drive news talk program, "Real News with Rick Outzen" on 1370 WCOA.

I'll be on tomorrow discussing the "No True Bill" finding by the Grand Jury that concludes any investigation into me for the alleged Sunshine Law violation my political opponents have inappropriately lodged against me  to further their own political ambitions.  

I look forward to discussing that---- and the other very concerning development which will likely result in investigations by the Florida Division of Ethics on the improper/illegal discussion of Grand Jury schedules, testimony, and topics.  This confidential, statutorily secret information was put out, publicly, by folks who ought to know better than that but who are using information gained by way of their position to benefit themselves and othersand to damage me politically.

I'll be speaking live tomorrow at 7:00 AM on the kickoff-morning show on the fastest-growing audience cultivating station--of all formats AM or FM--in the Pensacola-area  market.  1370 WCOA.

I've once again been asked to start the week as the lead off guest on the area's fastest-growing, best, most-relevant, highest-rated, most entertaining, and most widely-trusted morning drive news talk radio program, "Real News with Rick Outzen" on the area's best talk station AM 1370 WCOA.

I'll be on at 7:00 AM Monday morning.

There were a flurry of important, newsworthy issues bubbling up late last week as we all head into a notoriously slow news climate ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday........ This could make for some good, entertaining and illuminating discussion tomorrow morning; I will be fully prepared to discuss any of it or all of it--- if Rick wishes to do so.  

One interesting aspect of coming on Rick's program, as compared to others I have been asked to be on in the past--is that Rick rarely previews what issues he wants to discuss.  There are no pre-prepared topics sent out in advance, so the discussion can be real, raw, honest and spontaneous.  So, some serious issues might very well be on tap for tomorrow morning's show.

Or---- we might just talk Turkey.  

Who knows?  After all, the news cycle takes a 7 day hiatus starting tomorrow....

I'll be on the most listened to, highest rated and best area morning drive news/talk program, "Real News with Rick Outzen" on AM 1370 WCOA tomorrow morning at 7:10. 

 

I've been invited to appear tomorrow morning on the Pensacola area's #1 rated, most listened-to and best and most popular morning drive news/talk radio show- "Real News with Rick Outzen" on AM 1370 WCOA.

We will discuss the BOCC meeting from last Thursday evening, and some of the important issues we voted forward at that meeting, including: Approving a $5 Million Dollar boat launch-park in D1 on the lower Perdido Bay, approving a park in D4 at the headwaters of Carpenter's Creek, and the future of the effort to eliminate the looping exit off of I-110 south to Gregory Street.  We will more than likely also discuss the recent news about the effort to bring back the New Year's Eve Pelican Drop to Downtown Pensacola in 2023/2024--and also--------the legitimate, voted-upon, legal, and now disclosed BCC expenditures that are not being paid by the Clerk of the Circuit Court Pam Childers.

I've been invited to appear at 7:10 this morning on the area's best, most informative, highest rated and entertaining morning drive news radio program "Real News with Rick Outzen" on 1370 WCOA.

After an action-packed Committee of the Whole yesterday, I am sure we will be discussing the hiring of Wes Moreno as our administrator next week.  We will more than likely also discuss the Board's direction on issues of homelessness and the Contractor Competency Board--if time permits.

I was invited to appear on the area's #1 Morning Drive News/Talk program--"Real News with Rick Outzen on 1370 WCOA.  Hear the podcast in this post.

 I was invited to participate on the Pensacola area's best and highest rated morning drive news program, 1370 WCOA's "Real News with Rick Outzen," and I just completed my interview on the show.

(I am fortunate to have the day off of work, in observance of the nation's Juneteenth holiday.)

Host Rick Outzen asked that I come on the show to recap last Thursday's BCC meeting--and we discussed the highlights from last week's meeting, including: the board's decision on the best way forward for fire funding, Florida West's Triumph Gulf Coast ask to fund 122 new area jobs at average salaries in the mid 50K yearly range, the Beulah Master plan, EMS's $12.2 Million tech-refresh contract with Stryker Sales, and the potential to create a full-service health clinic at Pine Forest High School in conjunction with Community Health Northwest (similar to what was done at C.A. Weis Elementary School), as well as the county's coup in realizing nearly a $1 Million Dollar profit while purchasing 18 new dump trucks.

It was a good conversation, very informative.  I appreciate Rick having me on the show.

I'll be on "Real News with Rick Outzen" later this morning talking public safety budgeting for the upcoming year

I've been invited to appear on the morning drive's best and highest rated local news/talk program "Real News with Rick Outzen" later this morning.

I'll be discussing and recapping last week's BCC meeting and some topics sure to come up will be:

1.  Funding for ECFR

2.  This year's budget

3.  Finding a proper location for the D1 Medical Examiner's Office

4.  Public Safety budgeting for the upcoming year and potentially 3-years.

I was asked to lead off Monday's show at 7:10AM.  Great discussion with lots of information and opinion. 

 

I was asked to join Rick Outzen on his #1 rated morning drive talk show "Real News with Rick Outzen", on the area's top AM Station--- 1370 WCOA---- yesterday morning.

We discussed last Thursday's BCC meeting and some of the more interesting aspects of the meeting, to include;

--Amy Parker's 6th and 7th grade class from Creative Learning Academy bringing ideas for solving the county's issues with respect to ECAT, Criminal Justice Reform, and Homelessness.

--A discussion about large condominium lease renewals at Pensacola Beach--where some condo leases are being recommended for approval by SRIA despite language which is not favorable to the property owners-the taxpayers of Escambia County.

--The approval of the Board's ordinance prohibiting employees of the county running for the office of County Commissioner

--Approval of large apartment complexes, and the consternation this causes many nearby homeowners.

On 1370 WCOA's "Real News with Rick Outzen" Yesterday--Discussing the New Beulah Fire Station

I was asked to appear on Monday Morning's "Real News with Rick Outzen"--the area's #1 rated morning drive radio program.  The topic--the new Beulah Fire Station.

I was asked to appear on yesterday morning's "Real News with Rick Outzen" on 1370 WCOA to discuss the groundbreaking for our newest fire station.  We had a great conversation and discussion about this soon-to-be constructed facility in Beulah.

We also discussed some disinformation that was put out by the other local morning radio host, denigrating the location for the station with inaccurate descriptions of the reason(s) for the siting of the new facility in it's current location.

Rick also asked my opinion about the possibility of luring Twitter and Elon Musk to Escambia County to set up their headquarters here.

1.  Rural Broadband

2.  Jail Medical Malpractice Insurance (costs are going up on everything concerned with jail medical)

3.  Homelessness in the area and the best ways for Escambia County to spend our $4 Million allocation earmarked for homelessness solutions.

4.  "American Magic"--the Nation's leading contender to re-win the "America's Cup" sailing competition and their intention of making our community and bay their training headquarters.

It should be a great conversation--lots of issues within these four topics to discuss.

I'll be a guest later this morning, at 7:10, on WCOA's hit morning radio show "Real News with Rick Outzen"

I'll be Rick Outzen's guest later this morning on the area's #1 rated morning drive news radio show, "Real News with Rick Outzen."

Outzen attended last Thursday's committee of the whole, the singular topic of which was the county's jail and the deplorable condition this facility is in currently.  The focus of that meeting was the vetting of Administrator Wes Moreno's plan to correct deficiencies and chart a course forward to remove the current inmates housed in that jail out of that facility and into better facilities.

I'll discuss this topic and more with him on his show at 7:10 this morning on WCOA-and once the podcast is published , I'll post it here

On WCOA's Real News with Rick Outzen

 

I was a guest on the area's #1 morning drive radio program, "Real News with Rick Outzen" yesterday morning.  

We talked about last week's meeting and the important takeaways from the Thursday meeting.

In particular, we discussed the jail and the surprise turn of events surrounding Doug Underhill's complete reversal on the county's newly passed resign to run ordinance (Underhill went from staunch disapproval and vocal opposition to such an ordinance to actually voting to approve and making the motion to approve this ordinance.

This flip flop by Underhill has led to some significant consternation and infighting on at least one Facebook chat site.

Meanwhile, many of us simply believe he lost his place on the agenda and made the motion and voted for the ordinance because he was confused or didn't know at the time what it was he was moving and voting for.

Regardless, it happend.  And, if it was by accident due to confusion, such an admission would never come from Underhill, so far as I can tell.

Topics to be discussed include current county happenings, a recap of last week's meeting, and other topics of interest including a forthcoming ordinance to prohibit those on the county payroll from running for office while simultaneously holding their jobs.

And I'm sure there will be other topics of interest breaking Monday morning, to include the county's late Friday afternoon filing in the circuit court requesting the court to compel the Clerk of the Court to resume 401(a) retirement contributions for the three commissioners that take this plan.

I've been invited onto the area's #1 rated morning drive news/talk program "Real News with Rick Outzen" later this morning, at 7:45.

Topics that will be discussed include 

--the PNJ cartoonist Andy Marlette's latest ridiculous attack on me in response to my calling him out for his disgusting, racist use of the "N-Word" in his cartoons--and what the county has done to deprive PNJ of revenue subsequently for legal advertisements.  (And it is a big number--could be as much as $100K yearly going forward.)

-- The redistricting and calls by some for the censure of Dough Underhill for purposely putting out misinformation/disinformation/lies at his recent series of very sparsely attended town halls last week

--My priorities going forward into the next year as I once again serve as board chairman.

On Pensacola's #1 Rated Morning Drive Radio Program "Real News with Rick Outzen" Later this Morning, at 8:00

I've once again been invited to appear on Pensacola's #1 rated Morning Drive Radio Program, "Real News with Rick Outzen" on the area's preeminent and highest rated radio talk station, AM 1370 WCOA.

I look forward to the discussion(s) which I believe will center on the Board of County Commissioners' soon to be completed redistricting efforts--and a couple of horrible concept drawings/plans brought by District 2 in the 11th hour, 59th minute, and 59th second of the process--both non starters--described here and here in more depth.  

Also on tap--a couple of disastrous ideas from downtown on bringing the city's homeless camp out of the city and into District 1------an idea I certainly do not support.  It's an idea nobody I have spoken with in District 1 supports.  It is a disastrous idea that I do not think will come to pass and for which I have posted a couple of Blog entries, here and here where I've proposed alternatives that are less burdensome on local neighborhoods.

I've been invited to speak as a guest on the area's #1 rated morning show on the area's #1 talk radio station, News Talk 1370 WCOA and Real News with Rick Outzen later this morning.

I'll be discussing multiple topics to include the latest on our EMS employee raises/employee poaching attempts situation, the walkover pedestrian walkway project in Beulah, the quickly fading, failed idea of a "strong" elected county administrator, upcoming redistricting maps and I'll also be debunking some mythology prevalent on certain local social-media chat/hate sites.

Should be a fun-filled, informative and entertaining interview!
