FY19 ECSO Budget Request Has Been Received

I received the below letter in the mail yesterday afternoon.

The budget amount requested mirrors exactly what we expected to see based upon the settlement agreement we reached last week with the sheriff.  Glad to be moving forward!

Please consider cutting the budgets of traffic consultants going into this budget cycle. Transportation is a large part of the budget. The outside agencies seem to be the first some look at. Respectfully, please consider the good they do in the community, such as the Council on Aging and other organizations. Please consider carefully and trim the fat on true redundant excesses. Rely on staff rather than outside consultants (ie Beach Traffic Congestion, Volkert vs David Forte and FDOT.
