I am one member of a five person board. The opinions I express on this forum are mine only, and do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of the Escambia County Staff, Administrators, Employees, or anyone else associated with Escambia County Florida. I am interested in establishing this blog as a means of additional transparency to the public, outreach to the community, and information dissemination to all who choose to look. Feedback is welcome, but because public participation is equally encouraged, appropriate language and decorum is mandatory. Although this is not my campaign site for re-election--sometimes campaign related information will be discussed, therefore in an abundance of caution I add the following : Political Advertisement Paid for and Approved by Jeff Bergosh, Republican, for Escambia County Commissioner District 1

What Will the District Map Look Like if Proposed and Advertised District Map is Approved by BCC December 2nd?

The map and corresponding numbers of voters for our five commissioner's districts will look like what is depicted above----if the BCC moves forward with final approval next week, on December 2nd, as I anticipate we will.

............And of course this data and much more detailed information about the redistricting is all posted on the county's website, here.

Looks like part of the plan is that D2 is on the City water front now.

That will probably make a difference in support and future plans for that area in the D2 race.

Also with some of the bills passed with Seminole tribe and gaming, I wonder if something maybe in the works there on the Key or City water front.

Some of ideas being floated about base access probably aren't good for the whole idea of Military readiness/security. We barely escaped the BRAC in 2005. Jeff Miller with Jeb talked to George and stopped it -- it seems (BUSH)
