Commissioners Vote 4-0 to Send Request to Governor to Clear up Underhill Residency Requirements Questions

 The Escambia Board of County Commissioners voted 4-0 (Underhill left the meeting and did not vote) to send the below letter to Governor DeSantis regarding Commissioner Underhill vacating his homestead property and his subsequent move out of the district he represents and up to a D5 property he recently purchased.  This decision was made after multiple constituents complained that Commissioner Underhill had, in fact, abandoned his district.  

Last week at the BCC meeting on Thursday July 14th, several constituents complained at Underhill during public forum about his, Underhill's,  moving out of the district before his term expired.  This generated several news stories

Last night on Facebook, underhill downplayed these accusations, questions, and media reports and stated "So we sold and rent back until I'm done with my service."

Just this morning, however, a citizen sent me a screen shot from two weeks ago--before the media brewha over Underhill moving out of his district and before today's meeting.  In this screen shot, taken on July 7th,  it says  "We have 2 days left to get everything cleared off our Sally-damaged property before the buyer takes possession.."

So it appears that there is a disconnect between what was stated last night, and what was stated online two weeks ago.  Therefore, and because several citizens have now complained--- and although given multiple chances at public meetings to set the record straight Underhill refuses to address the growing controversy---the below letter will be sent so the matter can be properly investigated.  We will see what happens.

Anon 7:27, the funniest thing is when Doug, his disinformation harem, and his messenger eunuchs think I have way more power and importance than I have.

Or that I'm in on every "scheme" against Doug (quotes indicating there are no schemes--just a whole lotta people, half the town and many across the panhandle and state, trying to hold him accountable).

The adoration his boot and knob lickers drool over him, even as he beats them over the head with their insignificance while they keep pleasuring him politically, has always been a constant source of amusement. These days, it's better comedic entertainment than money could buy.

If you weren't down in a hole in his obedience chambers, you would know that Doug is universally detested outside your Qist ECW crew. Even Doug's puppet master developers now realize they have gotten their last drop from him, from the looks of it. And are more than happy to wash their hands of him.

He knows the signs. He's been here many times before. Countdown to him throwing you and every other of his scraped knee satisfiers under the bus. Enjoy--you've earned it.

Good vote. It is against FL Statutes to reside somewhere other than the elected single district for any commissioner in the state of FL.

All the weeping and gnashing of teeth is just noise.

Why don't youn send code enforcement out there to check the property. It's in your district. He has the cameras set up.

Knew this was coming. He is a pathological liar.

The date of David Bear's inquiry Underhill published is after the date of the meeting.

Social media reflects Undehrhill lives in D5.

The papers on the agenda published show the mortgage was signed on a particular day.

Usual suspects defending him.

True Bear took him to task and the PEDC and TDC control money.

Big deal. Would raher have them involved than loose uninformed cannons running around.

In real life recognize what it is, drama, blame, conflict and dysfunction brought on by one who could have been been a cog in the wheel, 20% of the board. The class warfare nonsense is bs.


I doubt DeSantis will get involved. I will be pleasantly surprised if he does remove him.

Best bet is to run out the clock.

If I was a teacher I could use their posts to demonstrate faulty arguments.

We know they the abandoned residency, which is against the law. But they didn't change paperwork on vehicles and such.May be hard to prove.

Wendy posted last week on a facebook group that they have been living off grid on a farmstead for a year. She has to publicly post that her dishwasher is broken on their new camper. I know this is almost over but it is just crazy he ran down to his empty house to post videos echoing that they share joint possession in the now D1 and she can't help prove otherwise by her o9wn admission. Guess the Governor can't be bothered with such pettiness but it is against the law and oath of office to have abandoned the district.
It takes like one search to find the post and to look at the comments in her post in a travel trailer group.

Champagne is chilled. I wonder if anyone will be in attendance for the ethic commission hearing on the 21 st in Tallahassee or just let him run on .. lips flapping on ECW deflecting and blaming.

It has been a long standing soap opera watching their audacity and lies and especially the suckers who believe them.
