On Real News with Rick Outzen This Morning Recapping Last Night's Redistricting Meeting

Empty Chair

I was invited onto the WCOA morning show "Real News with Rick Outzen" earlier this morning to discuss last night's redistricting meeting.

I was happy to talk about it--as it was a positive meeting and a lot was accomplished in just a short hour and a half or so.

Jim Little of the PNJ also covered the story, as did I last night.

Doug Underhill didn't show up to the meeting.  Although I was told subsequently he was out of state for a jet ski competition--he didn't call in either.  He could have called in if it was important to him....(as school board member Kevin Adams--- who was also out of town--- did do) .

Underhill didn't show up to the Shade meeting immediately preceeding the redistricting meeting either.

No show.

I listened to the pod cast plus watched the meeting. I was wondering if Underhill ran out after the shade meeting about him, but by this info, he didn't attend it either.

Here's a link I found: it may not be up to date, but yes some of it makes sense now because he was posting negatively about the PEDC, Bear, FL West, the BOCC at WEAR and ECW ahead of time and even on his personal page.

He is a lame duck.
Ya snooze ya lose.

Apparently getting on Facebook disparaging everybody in town including his colleagues on the board with derogatory comments hasn't turned out to be a winning strategy for him [except for the few that can't see through him, or use him]

Give him a few days to catch his breath and he will get on his keyboard and blame it on everybody but himself. He might march a few down there to dissent.

Where are all the PM's on the discovery? [It's a bitch also babe]

I like the draft map myself.

County Government goes so much better when the empty chair is there.

If he is removed from the commission I think by FL statutes he has to forfeit his retirement.
I wonder if that is why he is still lying and Jacqueline Rogers and Andy Marlette still being deceitful about the County Commissioner Employer Contribution to the retirement plan. I see a few people are still duped. Or willfully deceitful

I wonder if Gannet should be written a letter by the county attorney about Marlette spreading false information. I'm sick of it myself.

How many times do you have to tell people the rate of contribution by the employer is the same in both the FRS and the 401a annunity?

How hard is it for someone to go to a search engine and look up info for themselves?

Goodness gracious, put my beer down, here it comes:

STATUTE - 10 USC 5020 sets forth the statutory basis for IG investigations

MATTERS APPROPRIATE FOR INVESTIGATION:

the mission of every DoN IG organization is to inquire into matters that have some relationship to readiness, effectiveness, discipline, efficiency, INTEGRITY AND ETHICS.

Jim Little headline...."Florida Ethics Commission finds probable cause Doug Underhill violated ethics law."

Anon 3:53 clearly you don't understand the meaning of ad hominem, which means "to the man" in Latin and typically refers to off-topic, direct insults.

Discussing the character of any elected official--which includes assessing any mendacity, unethical conduct or criminal behavior connected with an individual office holder, either within or without the course of his or her official duties--hardly constitutes an ad hominem attack.
