On 1370 WCOA's Real News with Rick Outzen Tomorrow Morning at 7:00 AM

I'll be speaking live tomorrow at 7:00 AM on the kickoff-morning show on the fastest-growing audience cultivating station--of all formats AM or FM--in the Pensacola-area  market.  1370 WCOA.

I've once again been asked to start the week as the lead off guest on the area's fastest-growing, best, most-relevant, highest-rated, most entertaining, and most widely-trusted morning drive news talk radio program, "Real News with Rick Outzen" on the area's best talk station AM 1370 WCOA.

I'll be on at 7:00 AM Monday morning.

There were a flurry of important, newsworthy issues bubbling up late last week as we all head into a notoriously slow news climate ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday........ This could make for some good, entertaining and illuminating discussion tomorrow morning; I will be fully prepared to discuss any of it or all of it--- if Rick wishes to do so.

One interesting aspect of coming on Rick's program, as compared to others I have been asked to be on in the past--is that Rick rarely previews what issues he wants to discuss.  There are no pre-prepared topics sent out in advance, so the discussion can be real, raw, honest and spontaneous.  So, some serious issues might very well be on tap for tomorrow morning's show.

Or---- we might just talk Turkey.

Who knows?  After all, the news cycle takes a 7 day hiatus starting tomorrow....

Listen live at 7:00 AM and find out.

I will post the podcast here once it is published.

I'll be on 1370 WCOA's Real News with Rick Outzen Tomorrow Morning at 7:00

I'll be on Pensacola's highest quality, highest rated, most accurate and trusted morning drive news program--"Real News with Rick Outzen" tomorrow morning at 7:00AM.

Rick Outzen, host of the area's best, highest-rated, most trusted and accurate source for morning-drive news programming--"Real News with Rick Outzen"--has invited me to be the week's lead-off guest tomorrow morning at 7:00AM.

The county won't be having any meetings anytime soon--however there is never any shortage of topics for discussion, so I'll be prepared to field any questions Rick wants to throw at me.

Perhaps we will discuss the garbage guest-editorial in today's PNJ--lionizing the clerk and slamming the BCC?

Perhaps we will discuss the ongoing homeless issue the city is enduring?

NFCU's new park facility opening?

Who knows, maybe he'll ask me about my free speech rhetorical question I posted on my blog that is getting hammered by hits?  Or the whole bruhaha in Tallahassee?

Or maybe the issue of the "who" it will be running the new Beulah fire station once it is completed in the next few months and the old one is decommissioned.

Or the latest on OLF 8 and/or the Beulah Master Plan, or Perdido Incorporation?

There's never a shortage on what we can discuss.

So tune in live on 1370 WCOA at 7:00 or catch the podcast here, I'll post it once Rick publishes it.

Yes, this show is the local leader, unlike the boring, obnoxious, unpopular and failed Andrew Tallman show podcast.

It should be an interesting conversation, tune in at 7:00 or catch the podcast, here.

On 1370 WCOA's "Real News with Rick Outzen" Today: Latest on Medical Examiner vs. Funeral Director Claims

Rick Outzen called yesterday and invited me to appear on his popular morning drive news program "Real News with Rick Outzen" this morning at 7:00.  He wanted to discuss the issues surrounding the recent claims by the Medical Examiners that there is no basis to the complaints by several funeral home directors.

A real strange story where apparently I am the bad guy for publishing some public record emails sent to my office with outrageous accusations that affect the families and loved ones of the constituents I represent.  And I was very skeptical about the veracity of these claims----- which I stated in my post.

Come to find out one of the funeral directors who wrote theses salacious, scathing letters trouncing the ME's office and reputation has now had a change of heart and wishes he would have never even written the letter.  He all but recanted what he wrote. He feels really "bad" about it.

How weird is that?  Was it true what he wrote?  Will someone get around to asking him that question??

Meanwhile, I've been subsequently contacted by another funeral director who specifically does NOT recant what he wrote and who believes things are improving but there are still issues with that ME's office.

And then I received a gruesome account via email of how another body was "butchered" by the medical examiner's office.  This one, received just yesterday, is so gross and distrurbing I am not even going to publish it.  It is stomach turning, nauseating, and heartbreaking for the grieving family member who experienced it.

So I don't know what is going on, but it sounds as if there is still some work to be done to rectify all the issues.  Meanwhile, folks ought to be careful about crying wolf then feeling bad about it, because when I get stomach-truning accounts like those letters sent to me in my official capacity----yeah, I am going to talk about it and blog about it.

Had I not done so, the media would have never covered it and we would not yet be close to a solution to the problems--which at least we now appear to be BECAUSE of the publicity this gory episode received.

Rick and I had a good discussion, which I will link here once he publishes the podcast.

On WCOA's "Real News with Rick Outzen Tomorrow Morning at 0700 Talking all things #PERDIDO-GATE

I'll be on the area's highest rated, highest quality, and most trusted source for morning drive news talk--"Real News with Rick Outzen" on 1370 WCOA tomorrow morning at 0700.  We will be talking public beach access---and the unlawful withholding of it from the people for years and years at Perdido Key....

Rick Outzen, Publisher of InWeekly and Rick's Blog and Host of the area's best, most influential, entertaining,  and trusted morning drive news program "Real News with Rick Outzen" on 1370 WCOA has invited me on his show as the lead off guest for the first 20 minutes tomorrow morning at 7:00AM.  We will be talking about the bombshell, earth-shattering, and growing story I'm calling #PerdidoGate:  How a group of private property owners and others systematically tried (and succeeded in many instances) to block the public's rightful and lawful access to the beaches in Perdido Key Florida in Escambia County's District 1.  The fascinating revelation was uncovered last week that dozens and dozens of the originally executed land deeds from the U.S. Government (which I posted to this blog last week) constituting miles of these formerly thought to be "private" beaches------ all had language dictating and mandating a perpetual easment of the southerly 75 feet of each such parcel for the express purpose of establishing a public beach for public access.

I've subsequently uncovered other documentation and shared it in multiple follow-on blog posts which have been smashed with hits from all over the country.

I am calling it Perdido-Gate because it is a scandal of epic proportion.  Unlike the infamous "Watergate" scandal however (which started with a few insiders knowing what happened and subsequently, over time expanding with more and more people learning of it as a whistleblower broke the story to journalists)--this land blocking/beach grabbing effort by most current owners of Gulf Front properties on Perdido Key apparently began with everyone having complete knowledge of the deeds' limiting condition and perpetual easement--with this knowledge fading over time, disappearing from transfer deeds, and fading away leading to most of these properties believing---inaccurately apparently---that they had complete and total ownership from the road all the way down to the wet sand of the Gulf's edge.

So we will talk all about that, and the following:

1.  What is the legal meaning of the "Southerly 75 feet of each parcel?"

2.  Who from PKA and the county knew of this recently?

3.  Why was the public access requiriment of 75' of beach never enforced as indicated on the 2000 Development Order from the County to Destination, Inc. (who eventually build the Windemere Condo) by the county officials who insisted on it as a condition of this complex's construction?

4.  Would the landlocked Grand Caribbean complex really undertake the expensive, time consuming, and year's long initiative to get an easement and build a walkway to a purportedly "private" beach south of their complex (owned by the Gulf-Front Sandy Key complex) on ONLY the strength of a "gentleman's" agreement that the HOA of Sandy Key would "let" visitors and owners of Grand Caribbean use their (Sandy Key's) purportedly "private" beachfront?

5.  What will take precedence under Florida's Marketable Record Title Act--the "information" from titles transferred within the last 30 years that have mysteriously omitted this "Southerly 75' perpetual public beach access easement" mandate from the initially executed transfer from the U.S Government--or if located---the original, primary deed(s) from the U.S. Government which we believe will specify this public easement?

It should be an interesting conversation on a fascinating topic that I know Rick is diving into for an article in his upcoming edition of InWeekly.

Because he knows what I know:  This story is HUGE and growing.  Glad he is joining every other local media in covering it.
